Dr. Harter is committed to the process of growth and change and brings that passion to her therapy practice.
Therapy is a very personal matter, and having expertise with a range of approaches and validated techniques allows Dr. Harter to use what works best for each patient. She has extensive training in cognitive-behavioral therapies that aim to systematically solve problems by focusing on links between troubling thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. She also works using psychodynamic approaches to therapy that involve self-analysis and that provide insight into how unresolved experiences from the past may influence one’s present life. Both of these approaches ultimately work to help people live more fully in the present moment and rid themselves of unhelpful judgment and behavior.
